They are two distinct Unicode characters: Libra is U+264E (HTML ♎) and Libra + Variation Selector-16 is U+264E U+FE0F (HTML ♎ ️). A font may draw them almost identically, but they sort and search as separate values.
What is the HTML code for aries?+
♈ is the hexadecimal form and ♈ the decimal one; both render as ♈. On a page that declares UTF-8 you can also just paste the character.
Which zodiac symbols work as plain text rather than emoji?+
28 of the 64 are ordinary text characters. They take the colour and weight of the surrounding font, which suits documents, code and interface labels. The other 36 are emoji and arrive as colour artwork you cannot restyle.
Why does one of these zodiac symbols split apart when I paste it?+
