Privacy Policy

What we do and do not collect across 89 collections: how anonymous copy counts work, why clipboard content never leaves your browser, and how messages are handled.

At a glance

The short version

01

No account needed

You can browse, search, and copy symbols without signing in.

02

Tools run locally

The symbol board and text tools work inside your browser.

03

You stay in control

Browser settings can limit storage, scripts, and clipboard access.

01

Information we process

Filtering, text conversion and symbol-board building all happen in your browser. The core library needs no account.

When you request a page, the hosting system may process ordinary technical records. That means an IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page and timestamp.

Those keep the site running, prevent abuse and help diagnose faults. If you email us, we process what you chose to send.

02

Clipboard and local browser features

A copy button asks your browser to put the selected text on your clipboard. The site never needs to read anything else on it.

After a copy succeeds, a public counter goes up by one. A random ID stored in your browser lets us estimate how many people use the tools.

The server keeps only a one-way hash of that ID and the totals — not the symbol copied, not the page URL, not your IP address and not your browser string. Clearing site data removes the ID.

03

Analytics, cookies and third parties

We use Clicky for analytics. It records aggregate traffic, popular pages, device types and errors so we can see what is worth improving.

Clicky sets its own cookies and is loaded from getclicky.com; it handles that data under its own published safeguards, and we use it only to run and measure the site. Nothing else is loaded from a third party: there is no advertising, no embedded media and no social tracking.

If that ever changes, this policy and any consent controls will be updated first. We do not sell personal information.

We do not build profiles from symbol searches.

04

Retention and security

We keep operational records only as long as we reasonably need them. That covers security, troubleshooting, measurement and legal duties.

Contact messages are kept while a correction or enquiry is still live. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.

No internet service can promise perfect security, so please leave confidential identifiers out of a bug report.

05

Your choices and requests

You can browse and copy without an account. Your browser settings can block cookies, local storage, JavaScript and clipboard access.

Blocking JavaScript will disable some of the interactive tools. Depending on where you live, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you sent us.

Email [email protected] with enough detail to find the record. We may need to verify who you are first.
